Fondazione Morra Greco announces the opening of Phtongos, a solo show dedicated to Fabrizio Cotognini and curated by Lorenzo Benedetti.
Phtongos proposes a journey into contemporary archaeology, revealing the connections between #anthropology, #territory and #socialcontext. The exhibition’s fil rouge is the recovery and reconstruction of various anthropomorphic beings belonging to the iconography of the #Sirens, mythical figures very dear to the Naples and Campania areas.
Large drawings, tiny sculptures and projections will take over the space on Fondazione’s third floor, giving visitors the opportunity to enter into a visual yet magical dialogue with these symbolic beings that often attract our curiosity for their beauty and oddity.
